Tara is a breast cancer survivor, nurse, and certified areola tattoo artist. She is the founder of Pink Ink Tattoo where she is honored to help her fellow survivors with areola, 3D nipple, and scar camouflage tattooing. She is an activist for early detection and is very active in the breast cancer community. Tara is focused on breast cancer awareness to inform survivors that they do have options after reconstruction and to encourage women and men to be their best advocates, to research; to follow their gut, and to ask questions.

Tara’s Recommended Resources

Alliance in Reconstructive Surgery (AiRS) Foundation

The Foundation works in partnership with physicians in the United States, providing the resources necessary to make this surgery an option for women who would not otherwise have access to breast reconstruction. We partner with health care providers, health care centers and other groups to promote this service and teach other professionals and educators to carry on this work while supporting advances in health care research.

Angel in Disguise serves to take people battling cancer, affectionately called VIDAS (Victorious, Inspired, Delicate, Angel Survivor), to their doctor’s appointments. Not only does Angel in Disguise drive them to the doctor, but they also go to the appointment with them in order to support them in any way they can.
